Overview

The Executive Chef at Elon University will be responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. This management role involves overseeing culinary operations, ensuring high standards of production, presentation, and service while coaching and developing the culinary team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage culinary team for quality food presentation
  • Train and supervise kitchen employees on best practices
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain staff records including training and performance data
  • Develop client and customer relationships for business benefit
  • Deliver on food and labor targets while focusing on margin improvement

Required skills

  • 4 years of culinary experience with 1-3 years in management
  • 2 year Culinary Associate degree or equivalent experience
