Overview

Sanctuary Grande is seeking an Executive Chef for its DSL Minerva location in Ohio. This role involves overseeing the Dining Services operations to ensure high-quality nutritional services are provided to residents, fostering a family-like atmosphere among staff and residents alike.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of Dining Services
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the department
  • Create decorative food displays and determine food presentation
  • Standardize work methods and assist in menu planning for regular and special diets
  • Perform necessary administrative tasks and submit required forms and reports
  • Coordinate dining services with other departments
  • Develop a good working rapport with community staff
  • Delegate responsibilities to department staff
  • Establish dining service production lines for timely meal preparation

Required skills

  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of dietary/dining service experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in fine dining and healthcare culinary management
  • Knowledge in cost control and food management
  • Training in diet therapy for healthcare residents
