As the Executive Chef at bartaco, you will be the culinary leader responsible for upholding the highest standards of food quality and operational excellence. Your role involves guiding the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest satisfaction, all while embodying bartaco's core values and principles.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team by embodying bartaco's core leadership principles
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure seamless execution of service
  • Ensure consistent execution of culinary standards across every dish
  • Maintain knowledge of recipes and procedures for operational consistency
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper ordering and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
  • Support the General Manager in optimizing kitchen operations
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • Conduct daily pre-shifts to keep the team aligned and motivated
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen through budgeting and cost control

Required skills

  • 3 years of restaurant experience as an Executive Chef
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Experience mentoring and training team members
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 pounds
