Overview

Rachel Contracting is looking for an Estimator/Project Manager for Residential Development in Saint Michael, MN. This role involves estimating and managing commercial earthwork projects, ensuring quality workmanship while effectively communicating with clients and team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Estimate and manage commercial earthwork projects for private and public clients
  • Navigate and understand cost accounting for ongoing projects
  • Perform project communications with clients, field and office staff
  • Maintain estimating and project files
  • Mentor junior estimators and interns
  • Prepare take-offs for commercial earthwork projects
  • Manage project billings and collections
  • Attend project meetings and represent the company
  • Market existing clients and develop new client relationships

Required skills

  • 5+ years of related commercial earthwork construction experience
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team leadership abilities
  • Dependability and initiative
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize
  • Light travel may be required
