Overview

Rachel Contracting is looking for an Estimator/Project Manager specializing in Heavy Civil Renewable Energy based in Saint Michael, Minnesota. The role involves project management and estimating for renewable energy projects, focusing on providing quality workmanship and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Estimate and manage heavy civil scopes for renewable energy projects
  • Understand and navigate cost accounting for ongoing projects
  • Communicate with clients, field staff, office support staff, and management
  • Maintain estimating and project files
  • Mentor junior estimator/project managers and seasonal interns
  • Prepare take-offs for civil construction projects
  • Manage project billings and collections
  • Attend project meetings and represent the company with clients and subcontractors
  • Engage in continuous marketing and develop new client relationships

Required skills

  • 5+ years of related civil or construction experience
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team leadership abilities
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with effective prioritization skills
  • Light travel availability
