Overview

Rachel Contracting is looking for an Estimator/Project Manager for Commercial Earthwork in Saint Michael, Minnesota. The role involves managing and estimating commercial earthwork projects, overseeing project communications, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to business development efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Estimate and manage commercial earthwork projects for private and public clients
  • Navigate cost accounting and project financials, including cost verifications and invoicing
  • Communicate with clients, field staff, and management on project details
  • Maintain project files and assist in mentoring junior staff and interns
  • Prepare take-offs and manage project billings and collections
  • Attend project meetings and represent the company with clients and subcontractors
  • Market existing clients and assist in developing new client relationships

Required skills

  • 5+ years of related commercial earthwork construction experience
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team leadership abilities under challenging conditions
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
