Overview

Blue Streak Lighting & Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Inside Sales Representative to join their team in Santa Clara, California. The role involves preparing estimates for lighting and electrical repair projects and maintaining strong customer relationships to support the company's growth in commercial lighting and electrical services.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates for lighting and electrical repair projects
  • Develop clear scopes of work for field technicians
  • Review technician reports, photos, and recommendations
  • Communicate with customers regarding project scope, pricing, and scheduling
  • Follow estimates from initial inquiry through project approval
  • Coordinate with operations for project handoff
  • Identify opportunities for additional repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity
  • Build long-term relationships through exceptional customer service

Required skills

  • Experience estimating electrical service or lighting projects
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and lighting
  • Ability to interpret technician notes, photographs, and field conditions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer skills including Google Workspace and estimating or service management software
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with the team
