Gilbert Law PLLC is seeking an MN-licensed Associate Attorney who specializes in estate planning and business law. The role involves engaging with high-net-worth clients, solving complex legal issues, and working independently to meet deadlines in a growing law firm located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Key responsibilities

  • Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients
  • Communicate with clients about asset distribution plans
  • Advise clients on retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options
  • Collaborate with paralegals and senior partners to facilitate civil litigation processes
  • Draft estate planning documents and complex trusts
  • Research and draft memorandums of law for various business law matters
  • Attend networking events and present on estate planning topics
  • Strategize with partners to improve law firm management and growth

Required skills

  • 1-2 years of law firm experience in estate planning and probate law
  • Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree
  • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Knowledge of title insurance, wills, trusts, property management, and real estate law
  • Experience communicating and advising clients on asset distribution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of estate plans and meet deadlines
