Job Description

Overview

The Escrow Officer at First Integrity Title Company will provide closing services for various real estate transactions, including REO, residential resale, refinance, and commercial deals. This role requires a solid understanding of closing processes and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers, ensuring a seamless and compliant transaction experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist on the overall closing process
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Provide status updates on transactions throughout the closing process
  • Review contracts, title commitments, and lender instructions to prepare necessary documents
  • Prepare error-free closing statements in compliance with FHA, VA, and conventional lending guidelines
  • Facilitate a professional closing experience by obtaining signatures and ensuring compliance with title and lender requirements
  • Prepare closing files for the disbursement department
  • Resolve post-closing reconciliation issues
  • Assist and mentor the closing assistant and team
  • Communicate with supervisors and co-workers regarding workloads and scheduled closings
  • Train new employees as needed

Required skills

  • 1-2 years of closing experience
  • Solid knowledge of title insurance and regulatory guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and documentation skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain productive customer relationships
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in internet navigation and telephone etiquette
  • Mathematical skills including the ability to work with percentages, ratios, and proportions
