Overview

The Escrow Manager at The Closing City LLC is responsible for overseeing the escrow department to ensure all real estate transactions are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role combines leadership and operational oversight, requiring a strong background in escrow operations and management.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor escrow officers and support staff.
  • Serve as a resource for complex or unusual transactions.
  • Maintain relationships with real estate agents, lenders, and clients.
  • Provide training on procedures and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish productivity goals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing from contract to funding.
  • Monitor escrow pipelines to meet deadlines.
  • Resolve issues that may delay closings, including title defects.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and underwriter guidelines.
  • Monitor fraud prevention and suspicious activity.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and networking events.
  • Evaluate process improvements and operational opportunities.

Required skills

  • 7+ years of experience in handling real estate closings.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficiency in SoftPro.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of complex closing processes and transactions.
  • Experience with various title policy forms and endorsements.
  • Notary Public certification.
