Join Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, as an Experienced RN in the Emergency Department, where you will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities

  • Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities using the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating).
  • Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients.
  • Participate in clinical ladder programs, educational activities, departmental committees, and research projects.
  • Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Actively engage in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.

Required skills

  • 1+ years of RN experience in a clinical setting, particularly in Emergency or Critical Care.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma).
  • Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact RN licensure.
  • BLS certification required; professional specialty certification preferred.
