Overview

Living Talent is seeking a Senior Software Architect & Developer for their Front Office Investment Technology team, focused on Equity Trading. This hybrid role based in Battery Park City involves collaborating with traders, quants, and portfolio managers to enhance and optimize trading workflows across various asset classes, leveraging advanced technologies including AI and cloud-native solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop EMS customizations and interfaces
  • Optimize end-to-end trade workflows
  • Balance new development, enhancements, and maintenance tasks
  • Partner with traders, quants, portfolio managers, and product owners
  • Provide architectural direction aligned with future state platforms
  • Drive AI adoption to increase development efficiency and velocity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and stability issues

Required skills

  • Expert-level Java (Java 8+)
  • 10+ years of fullstack software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of architecture experience (microservices and related patterns)
  • Cloud-native development experience (AWS preferred)
  • Strong understanding of trading workflows and EMS architecture
  • Deep front office acumen
  • Experience with trading platforms like CRIMS, Portware EMS, Aladdin
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, VB.net, Java Swing
  • Familiarity with Agile, Microservices, TDD, Unit Testing (Pytest, UnitTest)
  • Experience with tools like GIT, Eclipse, VS Code, Jira, Confluence, Docker
