Overview

The Equipment Operator at Ondrick Materials & Recycling, LLC operates heavy machinery within the aggregate, paving, and hardscape industries. This role involves safely managing equipment operation and material handling to meet production goals while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate large equipment such as front loaders, dozers, and excavators according to safety regulations
  • Perform pre-operations checks and regular maintenance on equipment
  • Safely load trucks and manage materials within the yard and quarry environment
  • Utilize GPS for grading and prepare sites according to specifications
  • Abide by local, state, and federal regulations and safety procedures
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals with attention to detail

Required skills

  • 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • MA Hoisting license
  • Valid MA Driver's license and DOT medical card
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 100 lbs
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • Experience with grading, drainage, and material handling
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
