Job Description

Overview

As an Equipment Maintenance III at Daniel Defense, you will take on a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our machinery and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on complex tools and machines vital for our operations in manufacturing high-quality weapon systems and accessories.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all manufacturing equipment and machines, including CNC and servo motors.
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs on production equipment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to environmental health and safety principles.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards for the work area and equipment.
  • Record and track maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with daily maintenance tasks for machine tool coolant and scrap metals processes.
  • Implement 6S practices for workplace organization.
  • Construct wooden or metal crates and fixtures as necessary.
  • Plan and execute repair procedures based on technical specifications and drawings.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED; 3+ years of maintenance experience or related training.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge for servicing pumps, motors, and machine tools.
  • Proficiency in using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machines and related controls.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery.
  • Teamwork and proactive collaboration skills.
  • Intermediate understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures for energy isolation.
