Job Description

Overview

As an Equipment Maintenance 2 at Daniel Defense, you will support the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal operation and functionality. You will be part of a dedicated team that emphasizes safety and quality in the production of premium firearms and accessories.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform Equipment Maintenance 1 job functions
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of the work area
  • Assist with daily maintenance tasks for machine tool coolant and scrap metals process
  • Provide support in maintaining 6S signage and marking of equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machines
  • Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
  • Record and track maintenance schedules
  • Diagnose malfunctions using various testing devices
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs of CNC production equipment
  • Install, maintain and repair complex machines and tools
  • Plan repair procedures and fabricate parts as required
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and knowledge

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge and ability to service/repair various equipment
  • Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic and hand tools
  • Proficiency in reading schematics (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic)
  • Ability to operate forklifts and man lifts
  • Intermediate understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficient in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
