Job Description

Overview

The Equipment Engineering Technician at Koozie Group is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and mechanical equipment with minimal technical guidance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for equipment upgrades
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide technical support and training to operators
  • Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to perform calibration and alignment of equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols
  • Proficient in data entry and reporting software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
