Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Yield Technology Equipment Engineer to join their Equipment team in Boise, Idaho. This role involves working with defect detection and metrology equipment to enhance manufacturing processes by identifying and mitigating defects. The engineer will collaborate closely with other process areas to ensure high-quality data and effective equipment utilization.

Key responsibilities

  • Write recipes to automate toolsets and improve inspection efficiency
  • Collaborate with module owners to ensure recipe quality
  • Resolve recipe issues from quality checks or by process owners
  • Take on projects to enhance automation and efficiency of toolsets
  • Maintain records of recipe changes and create training guides
  • Develop new inspection techniques and sampling methods
  • Align tool strategies with technology development and manufacturing sites
  • Track tool maintenance and coordinate with vendors on issues
  • Monitor statistical process control charts
  • Act as a liaison between Micron engineering and vendors

Required skills

  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data analysis of large data sets
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Proactive problem solving and data-driven decision making
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with semiconductor inspection equipment
