Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst Epic who will be integral in designing, building, testing, training, deploying, and supporting Epic applications to enhance clinical and operational workflows within the organization. This role requires expertise in healthcare workflows, system integration, and project management to maintain the efficient performance of the healthcare IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and map current-state workflows
  • Create and maintain specifications, decision logs, and design documents
  • Conduct gap analyses for upgrades, regulatory changes, or new initiatives
  • Manage smaller projects related to system implementations and upgrades
  • Configure records, master files, and tools in alignment with approved design
  • Develop and execute testing plans and document test evidence
  • Coordinate release management for upgrades and patches
  • Design and implement customized training programs
  • Manage end user training-related requests and incidents

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in system analysis and support in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows
  • Strong requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing skills
  • Familiarity with ITIL, SDLC practices, and project management methodologies
  • Epic Training Environment Build certification and 3+ years of experience for training role
  • Current Epic Certification or Proficiency in relevant module(s) preferred for build role
  • Experience with system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing
