Job Description

Overview

PPM Consultants, Inc is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead projects within Florida's Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP). This role involves overseeing environmental projects from initiation to closure while ensuring compliance with state regulations and coordination with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage environmental assessment and remediation projects under Florida's PRP framework
  • Coordinate site assessments, source removal, and remedial action planning
  • Oversee groundwater monitoring and remediation system operations
  • Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) regulations
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and subcontractors
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior technical staff
  • Support business development initiatives and maintain client relationships

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing environmental remediation projects
  • Direct experience with Florida PRP projects and FDEP regulations
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Experience managing project budgets and schedules
  • Valid driver's license for travel to project sites
  • Florida Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
  • Experience with petroleum remediation technologies (preferred)
  • Knowledge of CTS, ATC, SRCO, and related Florida petroleum restoration programs (preferred)
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
