SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY ENVIRONMENTAL & LAND USE Location: Washington, DC HYBRID A prominent international AmLaw 50 law firm is seeking a talented Senior Associate Attorney to join their nationally recognized Environmental & Land Use Practice Group in Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to advise leading corporations and institutions on complex environmental compliance, enforcement, and remediation matters under federal and state laws. Candidate ProfileJD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentialsActive Bar Admission in the District of Columbia, in good standing57 years of substantive experience in environmental regulatory compliance and enforcement mattersDeep familiarity with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)Experience with hazardous, solid, medical, pharmaceutical, and/or controlled substance waste issues is preferredSoft skills: Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on compliance with major federal and state environmental statutes, including CERCLA and RCRARepresent clients in environmental enforcement proceedings and negotiations with regulatory agenciesCounsel clients on environmental aspects of transactions, due diligence, and risk managementDraft and review environmental reports, submissions, and compliance documentsCollaborate with internal and external teams, including technical consultants and environmental engineers, to develop strategic solutions to complex issuesSupport environmental litigation and administrative proceedings as neededWhy Join Us?
