Job Description: Location: Culpeper, VA 22701 (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months (Potential for Direct Hire) Pay Rate: $56.08/hr (W2) Schedule: Onsite 4x10 Work Schedule (Four 10-hour Days) Openings: 2 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) / Safety Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing facility in Culpeper, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry, hazard analysis, process safety, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical safety initiatives involving energetics, explosives, and high-risk manufacturing operations, with the potential to convert to a full-time employee. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform safety responsibilities with limited supervision.Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety and support accident and incident investigations while recommending corrective actions.Conduct routine safety audits and facility inspections to identify and eliminate compliance issues.Manage safety and energetics-related projects.Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Process Safety Management (PSM) activities.Develop and deliver safety training programs and awareness campaigns.Serve as the primary liaison between employees, management, customers, auditors, and regulatory agencies.Review facility schematics and building design plans for safety compliance.Support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety occasionally (less than 5%). Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, ORMaster's Degree with 4+ years of related experience, ORMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.Strong experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry.Experience performing hazard analysis, risk assessments, and incident communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong Microsoft Office skills.
