Overview

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist at Xinquan Kentucky Automotive Interiors LLC is responsible for leading and implementing EHS programs within an automotive parts manufacturing facility. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture aimed at achieving a zero-incident workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, and DOT regulations.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits and support regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain environmental permits and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct workplace hazard assessments and implement safety controls.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses.
  • Support initiatives to improve safety performance.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and operations to mitigate risks.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA/TCEQ, and DOT regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform floor-based safety activities
  • OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 24/40 or related certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with hazardous waste management and injury/incident investigations (preferred)
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or new facility launch environments (preferred)
