Overview

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager at SHD Composite Materials is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across the company's operations in North America. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training staff, and maintaining safety standards to support a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and ISO standards for materials and safety practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all company activities and develop Safe Systems of Work.
  • Provide training and maintain records for staff regarding health and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate environmental reporting in compliance with local legislation.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, implementing improvements based on findings.
  • Attend health and safety committee meetings and escalate safety concerns as needed.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience in environmental compliance and workplace safety.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
