Overview

PPM Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Consultant for their Altamonte Springs, Florida office. This mid-level role targets candidates with 10-20 years of experience in environmental consulting and compliance, focusing on providing support to various industrial clients in areas including permitting and technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate environmental permit applications, emission reports, and compliance certifications
  • Provide senior review of technical documents and applications, offering support to other engineering personnel
  • Manage projects and project teams
  • Evaluate and prepare Remedial Action Plans for petroleum underground storage tank cleanups
  • Assist clients in maintaining compliance with applicable regulations
  • Communicate with regulators on permits and compliance issues
  • Participate in site visits, data collection, and environmental investigations
  • Perform environmental calculations using appropriate methodologies
  • Lead and prepare proposals
  • Prepare environmental guidance documents and develop regulatory strategies
  • Market environmental compliance services

Required skills

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or similar field with current professional licensure in Florida
  • 10-20 years of environmental permitting, compliance, or modeling experience
  • Extensive knowledge of EPA regulations
  • Familiarity with regulations in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana
  • Knowledge of air compliance and Florida PRP UST program is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage work product development and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle information confidentially
