Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking a Senior/Staff Environmental Engineer to ensure strong hazardous waste and RCRA compliance within construction and operational activities. The role involves providing technical leadership, driving a culture of environmental responsibility, and strengthening relationships with regulators and internal partners. The engineer will also manage compliance systems and support various environmental programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the hazardous waste and Subpart BB regulatory program as the technical authority
  • Develop and maintain RCRA compliance systems for construction and operations
  • Prepare hazardous waste shipments, budgets, metrics, and regulatory reports
  • Support inspections, audits, and ISO 14001 conformance efforts
  • Partner with teams on compliance for air, water, stormwater, SPCC, solid waste, and other environmental programs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or
  • 3+ years managing environmental compliance programs
  • Strong experience with RCRA and hazardous waste management
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, and ISO 14001
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Experience leading small technical teams or multi-functional projects (preferred)
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and external audits (preferred)
  • Background in both construction and operational environmental compliance (preferred)
