Overview

Micron is seeking a Senior/Staff Environmental Engineer to lead efforts in hazardous waste and RCRA compliance in Meridian, Idaho. The role involves providing technical leadership in environmental performance, fostering a culture of responsibility, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across construction and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the hazardous waste and Subpart BB regulatory program as the technical authority
  • Develop and maintain RCRA compliance systems for construction and operations
  • Prepare hazardous waste shipments, budgets, metrics, and regulatory reports
  • Support inspections, audits, and ISO 14001 conformance efforts
  • Partner with teams on compliance for air, water, stormwater, SPCC, solid waste, and other environmental programs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or
  • 3+ years managing environmental compliance programs
  • Strong experience with RCRA and hazardous waste management
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, and ISO 14001
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading small technical teams or multi-functional projects
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and external audits
  • Background in both construction and operational environmental compliance
