Job Description

Overview

As a Senior/Staff Environmental Engineer at Micron, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with hazardous waste and RCRA regulations across construction and operational activities. This position requires technical leadership to elevate compliance systems and foster relationships with regulators and internal partners while promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the hazardous waste and Subpart BB regulatory program as the technical authority
  • Develop and maintain RCRA compliance systems for construction and operations
  • Prepare hazardous waste shipments, budgets, metrics, and regulatory reports
  • Support inspections, audits, and ISO 14001 conformance efforts
  • Partner with teams on compliance for air, water, stormwater, SPCC, solid waste, and other environmental programs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 3+ years managing environmental compliance programs
  • Strong experience with RCRA and hazardous waste management
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, and ISO 14001
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading small technical teams or multi-functional projects
  • Background in construction and operational environmental compliance
