ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER III PAY: $85,000 - $100,000 RETENTION BONUS: $10,000 VISA SPONSORSHIP: NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: NO REMOTE: NO Are you an experienced Environmental Engineer? ABOUT OUR CLIENT: This company is a full service, tier-one automotive supplier, specializing in the design and production of lighting equipment, accessories, and electronic components. Their Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in their Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments. HOW YOU WILL OUTSHINE: Demonstrating solid organization skills Being attentive to every detail Exercising critical thinking Solving problems Working well independently and with a team WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Administering the companys Environmental Management System in compliance with all applicable laws. Monitoring, reviewing and making recommendations to the current environmental practices that allow the company to work more efficiently. Minimizing waste and protecting the environment by preventing pollution. Provide leadership to overall company environmental management system. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations, statutes and permits. Establish, maintain and nurture positive relationships and communications with Ohio EPA, the City, Mid-Ohio, and Federal EPA. Collect and report on internal Greenhouse Gas emissions to parent company and customers. Initiate and support Greenhouse Gas reduction activities. Monitor and report on changes in Environmental Requirements from Federal, State and Local agencies to customer and parent company. Advise and inform management of compliance changes and activities. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance activity. Support facility recycling efforts and report to parent company. Prepare and submit environmental reports, plans and permit applications to local, state and federal agencies. Assessing potential environmental risks and providing mitigation plans to reduce incidents Leading hazardous waste management and disposal activities Leading and implementing Carbon Neutrality projects, data collection activities and reporting of Sustainability efforts Developing pollution and waste control programs Reviewing and updating SPCC plans as needed Conducting timely investigations of all environmental incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective action plans. Conducting field inspections, including such items as stormwater, spill prevention, and other environmental compliances Coordinating HAZCOM/SDS Program for materials used, received and/or processed at the facility. HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY: Bachelors degree in environmental engineering or related field Thorough knowledge of permitting air, water and land regulations Demonstrated ability to proactively manage companys environmental management system and make recommendations for improvement Demonstrated analytical skills Experience with multi-location plants and 24/7 operation Experience with managing an EHS managemen
