Overview

The Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight (EPGO) team at Capital One is seeking a Payments Governance Advisor to provide payments oversight and risk management. This Manager-level position involves collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to enhance risk strategies and improve overall governance of payment processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business use cases impacting payments.
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies including controls, testing, policies, and procedures.
  • Document and manage payments use case inventory and ensure adherence to risk policies.
  • Conduct enterprise risk assessments for new or modified payments use cases.
  • Identify and remediate payment-related issues with Business Risk owners.
  • Lead monthly or quarterly business reviews across different lines of business.
  • Propose new controls and processes to mitigate identified risk trends.
  • Engage in payments-related projects and initiatives supporting governance activities.
