Overview

The Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight team at Capital One is looking for a Manager to define and implement a payments governance strategy across the enterprise. This hybrid role involves working closely with key stakeholders to manage payment risk and compliance while enhancing business practices in a dynamic payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of payments risk management practices
  • Provide thought leadership in evolving risk procedures
  • Utilize AI and automation tools to improve risk monitoring processes
  • Define and oversee specialized risk management frameworks for payment rails
  • Partner with 2nd Line of Defense teams for risk mitigation
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive inventory of business processes
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to enforce compliance and upgrade processes

Required skills

  • Risk management experience in financial services
  • Audit and governance expertise
  • Compliance testing or monitoring experience
  • Project management experience
  • Data management and reporting skills
  • Understanding of global payment processes and regulatory environments
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) certification
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
