Job Description

Overview

Join Phoenix Group as an Engineering Technician III and serve as a Navy Supply & Logistics Subject Matter Expert for the Carrier Transition Team (CXT). This role requires a seasoned professional with expert-level understanding of naval supply processes and an engineering or maintenance background to assist in resolving issues during a carrier's Refueling and Complex Overhaul.

Key responsibilities

  • Be proactive and embedded with Ship's Force, becoming a trusted part of the crew.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor knowledgeable of shipboard systems and RCOH operations.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Supply personnel on best practices.
  • Engage in identifying discrepancies in parts ordering and logistics to prevent work stoppages.
  • Anticipate and eliminate potential risks to production related to material availability.
  • Help shape CXT's short-term and long-term objectives.

Required skills

  • 8+ years of CVN maintenance, supply, and modernization experience
  • Experience in a shipyard environment, preferably during RCOH
  • Background in CVN Supply department
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Expertise in naval logistics systems and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a SECRET security clearance
