Defend Freedom , is accomplished by serving customers and providing top-quality solutions to our military, law enforcement, and civilian customers seeking premium firearms for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting.The Engineering Technician 2, independently executes test plans, supports troubleshooting, and contributes to test method development. This role requires strong technical competence, sound judgment, and consistent adherence to safety and documentation standards.:Essential Functions:Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.Execute engineering test plans with minimal supervision (reliability, endurance, environmental, and accuracy testing)Conduct live-fire testing and advanced functional evaluationsAssemble, modify, and configure test articles per engineering directionTroubleshoot firearm and component failures and document root causesCollect, analyze, and summarize test data for engineering reviewSupport development and validation of new test fixtures and methodsInterface with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during testingTrain and mentor Technician I personnelEnsure test activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environmentProvides adequate support, training and development to team members to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or GED required (technical certificate or coursework preferred); Associate's Degree in engineering technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2-5 years of relevant test, manufacturing, or firearms experienceStrong understanding of firearm systems and operating principlesProficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipmentAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsPreferred skills: experience with endurance, environmental, or military-style test protocols; basic data analysis and reporting experience; and exposure to root cause analysis and corrective action processes.Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Company Values.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
