Job Description

Overview

Clarios is seeking an Engineering Tech for their 3rd shift operations in Canby, Oregon. In this role, you will serve as the technical leader on shift, overseeing maintenance processes and driving continuous improvement of plant equipment. You will collaborate closely with the maintenance manager and engineering team to ensure efficient plant operations, implementing strategies that enhance performance and reduce downtime.

Key responsibilities

  • Support maintenance staff as the technical lead on shift
  • Manage the CMMS system and maintenance KPIs
  • Provide technical assistance for electrical and engineering issues
  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects
  • Act as liaison between maintenance and engineering personnel
  • Monitor new equipment and processes for specification compliance
  • Assist with OSHA and EPA compliance for tools and processes

Required skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy preferred)
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic
  • Experience in robotics programming and diagnostics (Fanuc/Denso preferred)
  • Understanding of project/program management methodologies
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor/Solidworks, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS systems
  • Strong communication skills across multifunctional teams
