Overview

Branex Group is looking for a strategic and hands-on Engineering Facility Manager to oversee all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations at their manufacturing site in South Holland, Illinois. This role is crucial for ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing processes, and maintaining the facility infrastructure to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations.
  • Lead all activities related to facilities management, including building systems and utilities.
  • Champion a safety-first culture to comply with safety standards and reduce incidents.
  • Manage departmental staffing, performance, budgets, and resource planning.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and define roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance activities and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the Launch Readiness process.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with various departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Provide coaching and hands-on leadership to support program execution.

Required skills

  • Engineering and facilities management experience
  • Automotive manufacturing leadership experience
  • JIT assembly/sequencing experience preferred
  • Strong maintenance and CMMS experience
  • Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Experience with robotics, PLCs, conveyors, fastening systems, and automation
  • Team leadership and cross-functional team management
  • Safety compliance and strategic planning skills
