This Department is responsible for the full spectrum of warhead, fuzing, and propulsion designs/technology, including power systems, ignition, and all other weapon initiation safety systems technology. The department is seeking to hire an Engineer II - Warhead. The Engineer II - Warhead role is in Tucson, AZ and is an onsite position. What You Will DoApply or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts to warhead integration into missile systems Involvement with both development and production programs across Raytheon Product LinesInterface with the Customer to identify user needsWork with customers, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve engineering issues, develop new products and hold technical reviewsConduct hydrocode simulation and lethality analysisSupport warhead design, analysis, test, and evaluationDevelop Statements of Work (SOWs)Develop Critical Item Development Specifications (CIDS) and Technical Data Packages (TDP)Support fact-finding and contract negotiationsEnsure technical rigor and depth of all deliverablesWill travel periodically to government and subcontractor facilities Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience. An Advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years experienceA minimum of two (2) year of experience in the development of warheads from conceptual design through final test / assemblyProject Management as applied to team interaction and deliverablesThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
