Job Description

Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Device Engineer to work in their R&D DRAM Device and Cell Technology Group in Boise, Idaho. This role involves testing and characterizing future DRAM memory technologies, analyzing electrical failures, and contributing to improvements in yield, quality, and overall cell performance through collaboration with various teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of process and device requirements for current and future DRAM memory technologies
  • Characterize memory arrays and model cell device properties to identify improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to cell material and process flow definition
  • Develop physical and electrical models for yield-limiting mechanisms in DRAM
  • Evaluate in-line, probe, parametric, and back-end data
  • Implement experiments and stress tests for DRAM memory cell capabilities and properties
  • Evaluate memory management and ECC for quality and reliability improvements

Required skills

  • Knowledge of mainstream memory technologies like DRAM, NAND, NOR, and SRAM
  • Expertise in device physics and process integration
  • Proficiency in data analysis, DOE, and statistical techniques (JMP, Python)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
