Overview

The Employment Specialist - IPS at Haymarket Center engages clients to establish trusting relationships aimed at achieving competitive employment in community job settings. This role focuses on providing guidance regarding employment-related matters, including entitlement impacts, job search assistance, and ongoing employment support tailored to individual client needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage clients and develop collaborative relationships for employment success
  • Assist clients in understanding how employment affects their benefits
  • Conduct job development and job search activities tailored to client interests
  • Make employer contacts to assess business needs and promote client strengths
  • Provide ongoing support to clients to help maintain employment
  • Collaborate with mental health treatment teams for integrated vocational services
  • Develop individual employment and education plans with client input
  • Participate in meetings with state Vocational Rehabilitation counselors

Required skills
