EMPLOYMENT & LABOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY Locations: Atlanta, GA; Charleston, SC; Short Hills, NJ A leading international AmLaw firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Labor practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with employment litigation and counseling experience to work directly with clients, collaborate closely with partners, and play a key role in sophisticated employment matters. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team known for its practical, business-focused advice and strong litigation capabilities.Candidate Profile JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.26 years of substantive experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling matters Experience handling and managing employment litigation matters and providing employment advice and counsel Strong knowledge of employment law and human resources-related issues Experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements, employee handbooks, policies, severance agreements, and related employment documents Experience with employment litigation, including single-plaintiff claims, class actions, wage and hour matters, ERISA disputes, and administrative proceedings Trial experience at any level is a plus Strong commitment to client service and responsiveness Excellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skills and c ollaborative mindset and appreciation for teamwork Soft Skills: Exceptional research, writing, analytical, communication, and oral advocacy skills are a must. Ability to thrive both as a team contributor and when working autonomously.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day employment and human resources counseling to clientsReview, analyze, and draft employment agreements, employee handbooks, workplace policies, severance agreements, and related employment documentationHandle employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, ERISA claims, wage and hour class actions, and administrative chargesTake and defend depositions, manage written discovery, draft and argue motions, and examine witnesses at trialAdvise clients on sensitive personnel matters and assist with policy development, review, and implementationSupport traditional labor matters and proceedings involving the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)Conduct employment-related due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing employment provisions in asset and stock purchase agreementsPlay a key role in developing litigation strategy and case managementConduct and support internal investigationsAssist the team with additional employment and labor matters as needed Why Join Us?
