Overview

Premier Health is seeking full-time dedicated OB Laborists for positions in Southwest Ohio at Miami Valley Hospital. Candidates can apply for roles as either Employed OB Laborists or Academic OB Laborists, working flexible 12- or 24-hour shifts and contributing to both clinical care and medical education.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as attending on call for PPN patients during designated shifts.
  • Manage OB admissions, deliveries, and postpartum needs without primary physician presence.
  • Respond to emergencies including performing Cesarean deliveries.
  • Triage PPN OB patients and provide documentation.
  • Conduct thorough H&P on admission of PPN patients.
  • Obtain necessary consent for patient care.
  • Stabilize PPN patients in the Emergency Department requiring OB services.
  • Evaluate and manage admitted patients in OB or GYN services.
  • Handle postpartum floor issues for PPN patients.
  • Participate in didactic teaching and clinical conferences as an Academic OB Laborist.
  • Contribute to clinical care, research, and teaching missions.
