Overview

The EMLK (Punch/Laser Operator) at Metalcraft of Mayville is responsible for operating Amada EMLK CNC Laser Turret combination press equipment and assisting with metal finishing. This role involves ensuring the timely organization of parts in a fabrication shop and may require support for other operators as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate Amanda EMLK 3610 NT CNC Laser Turret combination press equipment
  • Maintain tooling libraries and equipment for daily operation
  • Interact with Operations, Engineering, and Production Planning on work orders
  • Load and unload products to and from machines
  • Assist in using other sheet metal fabrication machines
  • Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications
  • Follow workplace safety guidelines and rules
  • Complete paperwork accurately

Required skills

  • Strong background in Laser, Turret Punch or CNC machine operation
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Competent in basic dimensional measuring and precision measurement tools
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and shop drawings
  • Experience with overhead crane operation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
