Job Description

Overview

The Emergency Services Coordinator will inspect and audit all safety regulatory compliance across the Six Flags property while participating in fire protection efforts and assisting the EMS team as necessary. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including conducting safety audits, educating employees on safety standards, and investigating onsite accidents.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to fire-related calls for service as part of the Fire Brigade
  • Conduct and record safety audits and inspections regularly
  • Conduct safety inspections to analyze and mitigate safety risks
  • Educate employees on safety standards and procedures
  • Provide recommendations for improving workplace safety
  • Investigate accidents onsite and identify their causes
  • Maintain documentation of safety procedures and incidents
  • Act as a liaison between the Park and external firefighting agencies
  • Maintain Safety Department equipment and facilities
  • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors or managers

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • NJ Firefighter 1 Certified
  • ICS 100 and ICS 200.c certifications
  • IS-700 and IS-800 certifications
  • Current and valid CPR certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing
  • Understanding of federal, state, and city safety requirements
  • 3 years of experience in fire and medical related incidents
