Overview

St. David's Medical Center is seeking a GME Program Director for its Emergency Medicine residency program. This hybrid role encompasses both GME responsibilities and clinical duties in a busy Level II Trauma emergency department, offering a chance to lead a vital educational program while providing patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and organize the Emergency Medicine residency program
  • Establish strategic direction and maintain quality standards for the program
  • Integrate residency program with clinical services and physician practices
  • Participate in ongoing scholarly activity and maintain academic standards
  • Assess and ensure clinical competency within the program

Required skills

  • Minimum of three years' experience as physician faculty in an ACGME accredited residency program
  • Current Certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine
  • Demonstrate clinical competency as a practicing emergency medicine physician
  • Experience in a leadership role within medical education
  • Ability to manage and operate educational programs effectively
