Overview

The Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant role at Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC involves providing critical care in a hospital emergency department setting. This locum tenens position requires working various shifts and managing a high volume of patients, primarily adults and geriatrics.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
  • Perform evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in accordance with emergency medicine standards
  • Collaborate with onsite physician team and support staff
  • Participate in consults, documentation, and coordination of patient care
  • Manage emergency procedures as required within scope

Required skills

  • Active Virginia license
  • Board certification in ABEM or AOBEM for MD/DO
  • Active DEA Certification
  • NCCA or ANCC certification for NP/PA
  • ACLS certification
  • Proof of ATLS certification for MD/DO
  • Recent Main Emergency Department experience
  • Ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts
