Overview

AmeriWound is seeking a Wound Care Physician Assistant for facilities in the Amsterdam/Albany, NY area. This role offers flexibility with options for part-time or full-time work, focusing on wound care treatments in long-term care environments without night or weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Round weekly at assigned facilities within territory
  • Diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and telemedicine
  • Perform medical procedures such as debridement as necessary
  • Communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff
  • Document each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary

Required skills

  • MD, DO, PA, CRNP qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license
  • DEA license
  • Valid driver license
  • Technical skill in utilizing software for EMR documentation
  • Strong attention to detail
