Overview

The Emergency Management Coordinator at CoxHealth is responsible for ensuring the resilience of healthcare operations by guiding Department leaders in the development and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. This role requires a proactive professional with extensive knowledge in healthcare systems and emergency management, crucial for mitigating operational disruptions and safeguarding patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist and guide Department leaders in developing business continuity plans
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans
  • Play a role in the Business Continuity Work Group during Epic implementation
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop crisis management strategies
  • Engage diverse teams and stakeholders through effective communication
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or emergency management
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience in crisis management and recovery planning
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in business continuity software
  • Familiarity with ISO: 22301 Business Continuity
