The Elevator Construction Apprentice position with the National Elevator Industry Educational Program offers an opportunity for individuals to start their careers in the elevator industry without the need for prior experience or a college degree. This apprenticeship, backed by a strong union, focuses on hands-on learning in a stable and reliable field.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in the apprenticeship program and gain hands-on experience in elevator construction.
  • Complete and submit applications along with required documentation before deadlines.
  • Pass examinations testing reading, math skills, and general aptitude for the elevator industry.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic tools and their usage through a Tool Assessment.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job and pass a drug test upon selection.
