Job Description

Overview

Boeing is seeking an experienced Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist to join the Phantom Works team in Berkeley, MO, supporting the Defense, Space & Security Software Engineering organization. This role involves developing solutions for complex problems in data fusion and sensor systems within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Derive and quantify data fusion algorithms and techniques.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation and algorithm analysis memos for data fusion methods.
  • Analyze data fusion approaches for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Develop prototype algorithms in C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with software architects to support efficient algorithm implementation.
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Work with customers to develop and refine requirements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent education.
  • 2+ years of experience with data fusion engines, kinematic correlation techniques, and Kalman filters.
  • Experience with pattern recognition, multi-modal sensor data fusion, sensor calibration, and visualization technologies.
  • Experience with sensors, sensor management, datalinks, and weapons interactions.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
