Overview

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES The Electronics Technician III is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and fabricating a wide range of electronic and RF systems in both laboratory and field environments. This position supports radar and related electronic equipment through component-level diagnostics, testing, repair, and system integration activities. The technician applies advanced technical knowledge of analog and digital electronics, RF systems, electro-mechanical equipment, and industry-standard test equipment to ensure operational readiness and system reliability. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties: Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs Assist and/or provide occasional work direction to lower-level technicians Operate, troubleshoot, and repair associated electronic equipment on a daily basis. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on analog and digital electronic systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair radar transmitters, receivers, timing assemblies, data acquisition systems, and RF/digital transmission lines to the component level. Construct, assemble, and modify electronic and RF chassis using standard fabrication, wiring, soldering, and packaging techniques. Utilize electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and frequency counters to evaluate system performance. Interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering documentation. Support system integration, testing, calibration, and operational verification activities. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair documentation, and technical records. Assist engineers and senior technical staff with troubleshooting, system upgrades, and equipment modifications. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and organizational policies. Perform other job-related duties and field support activities, as required DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification. Experience with radar systems, RF transmission systems, and timing assemblies. Familiarity with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and high-power RF devices. Experience using advanced electronic test equipment. Military electronics or radar maintenance experience. Familiarity with fiber optic systems.
