Job Description

Overview

Prism Specialties is a rapidly growing disaster restoration company focused on restoring electronics and specialty items affected by disasters. They are seeking an Electronics/Electrical Technical Specialist who possesses strong problem-solving skills and a broad technical knowledge to handle various restoration tasks both in their shop and on-site at customer locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Test and validate functionality of appliances, computers, TVs, and other household electronics.
  • Evaluate items to make repair or replacement decisions.
  • Clean and finalize testing of items to ensure operational status.
  • Wrap items for undamaged return to customers.
  • Drive company vehicles to customer locations.
  • Communicate with customers to keep them at ease during service.
  • Map and label connections for proper reconnection of electronics.
  • Direct and manage developing team members.

Required skills

  • 2+ years experience as a technician or handyperson in a relevant field.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds.
  • Broad technical knowledge related to electronics.
  • Experience with cell phone repair, laptop repair, PC building, and home theater setups.
