Job Description

Overview

The U.S. Navy is seeking Electronics Technicians to join the Advanced Electronics and Computer Field, training Sailors to maintain, operate, and repair advanced electronics and computing systems. These systems include radar, communications, navigation, and fire control systems critical to Naval operations aboard various ships and at shore facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment as an Electronics Technician (ET).
  • Operate, maintain, and repair fire control systems as a Fire Controlman (FC).
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic and electromechanical faults using test equipment and technical documentation.
  • Ensure documentation, configuration control, and logs are maintained for inspections and combat system readiness.
  • Participate in team-based maintenance and watchstanding, often on rotating shifts.
